For this edition of Turntable Tuesday I bring you the Video Edit of my original production "Liquid."Full of many different influences, liquid is the synthesis of drum and bass with a new chill, melodic twist. The bass and organ sounds are reminiscent of island reggae which gives the track a relaxed yet heavy groove. Liquid, become the most sucessfull track of disco.hr records, so the label boss DJ Go Cut decided to make a video to give you a full story of how we party and have fun in New York, Los Angeles, Honolulu, Zagreb, and Perth. Enjoy DJ Go Cut's hipnotic voice, and Ted's beats while watching our new video!

gardens in april
It's only the beginning of May and we have already done 2 garden events. The first being a beautiful bar mitzvah designed by Liz Liberatore & photos by Constance Brukin http://www.constancebrukin.com/.
The weather reports were threatening rain all week, so that is always the big nail biter when it comes to garden parties. There always needs to be a back-up plan that provides warmth and coverage for guests and vendors alike. The gods were with us on April 29th and we had a picture perfect day.
We provided piano & string quartet for prelude to the ceremony. Then we took over for the cocktail hour ending it with a slamming horah where we performed together with tracks from our own DJ/producer, Ted Ganung. Ted rocked this party for the next 3 hours and not only pleased the adults but kept the kids on the dance floor pumping their fists in the air.

more ira lippke & the metropolitan club
I adore working at the metropolitan club and it's a double yummy when the photographer is Ira Lippke. This bride and groom were classic but really playful. The repertoire they chose took me by surprise and it was so much fun to play & arrange. Total Entertainment & Fredi Ross provided all the music which rocked the night away.
We were: piano & string quartet. All prelude music was romantic filmscore
Bridal Party
Somebody to Love - Queen
Groom & His parents:
In Your Eye's - Peter Gabriel
Bride
I'm on Fire - Bruce Springsteen
Recessional
Don't Stop Believin' - Journey

I have been so fortunate to collaborate with Ira on 2 weddings in the past couple of weeks. Here is another photo from our Capitale event taken by Ira. You can see more of this gorgeous wedding on his blog at: http://iralippkestudios.com/blog/nicole-jordan-capitale-nyc/

We just had a crazy couple of weeks filled with events at Capitale, The Metropolitan Club and a gorgeous garden on Long Island. We have officially hit the season running and once again are grateful to our adventurous clients that allow us creative freedom to create fairydust for their events.
Our ceremony at Capitale was visually stunning in the round and the chuppah looked as though it was floating in the center of the room. Our bride and groom were classically sophisticated but still wanted the repertoire to reflect their personal style. We customized the arrangements to add drama to fit the grandeur of the space. Having so many pieces can be challenging if people race down the aisle, but it is always our job to time out the pieces and cue each person when to enter so that the songs have a chance to build and create a soundscape. (I love my job!) For string quartet with piano they chose:
Officiant & Grandparents:
"Young at Heart" by Johnny Richards
Bridal Party
"Just For A Moment" by David Foster
Bride's Mother
"Orchestral Suite #2, Gavotte" by Bach
Groom and his Parents
"It Will Rain" by Bruno Mars
Children
"Can You Feel the Love Tonight" by Elton John
Bride
"Defying Gravity" by Stephen Schwartz from "Wicked"
Recessional
"Marry You" by Bruno Mars

Turntable Tuesday
~ Ted Ganung
For this edition of Turntable Tuesday I bring a very special production of "Kyrie" that is a collaboration between me, Bianchi Musica, and iconic Greek Producer Chris Kouzellis aka "DJ mSdoS." For awhile now Pilley and I have been experimenting with live instruments combined with DJing and electronic beats. For this production of "Kyrie," Pilley gave me four different individual string parts that I would time stretch, warp and twist to fit a liquid drum & bass beat. I then began to write a new bassline, keyboard parts, and start design different sound effects. I than sent the parts to mSdoS who would made a smooth rolling beat and perfected the arrangement & mixdown. Currently the track is set to be released on all the best Music Stores May 10th, and has already been supported by DJ's around the world.
